Hinguar Connecting Parents

The school has been working with Early Year parents to support  the development of a pilot project-Hinguar Connecting Parents: a modern approach to the home/school partnership; giving parents an insider view of classroom life and the opportunity to gain further information to help prepare their child for school in the Early Years.

Hinguar Connecting Parents is a project that explores how film, social media and advances in technology can support the whole school community to communicate and is a partnership between Hinguar Primary and Nursery School and Blade Education commissioned by A Better Start Southend.

Hinguar Connecting Parents is a project tailored to the Hinguar Primary and Nursery School seeking to use the technical expertise of Blade Education, who have been working in parental engagement for the past 9 years. Hinguar Connecting Parents aims to improve relations between home and school by tailoring the best formats of internet and social media delivery to find the easiest and most productive means of communicating with parents. By tapping into the relatively new and wide scale adoption of tablets and smartphones we will make information delivery more professional and accessible. Parents will be offered a choice of how their information is delivered and more access to the inner workings of the school at this crucial Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
