The IASS Network provides training and support to IAS Services across England. We were previously known as the National Parent Partnership Network (NPPN). The Information, Advice and Support Services Network (IASS Network) supports and promotes the work of Information, Advice and Support (IAS) Services across England. We are based at the Council for Disabled Children. IAS Services have a duty to provide free, impartial and confidential information, advice and support to disabled children and young people, and those with SEN, and their parents. Ways in which the IAS offers support include:

• Giving information about the Local Authority's policies and procedures in order to help parents and carers make informed decisions.
• Encouraging links between parents / carers and the voluntary groups and organisations that are able to provide support.

• Providing a telephone helpline for parents and carers whose children have, or may have, a special educational need.
